Aerian Studios teamed up with Mayden Health to collaborate on improvements to their IAPTus patient management system. IAPTus is the complete patient management and reporting solution for psychological therapists providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other related treatments.

We lent our expertise to help create a web portal, extending the the IAPTus patient management system. This allowed patients to submit webforms and questionnaires online as an integral part of their treatment. This enables therapists to analyse how patients progress through complicated care pathways and allows them to make informed decisions relating to their treatment. Additionally, the fact that this process has now been moved out of therapy sessions means that therapists are now able to make more efficient use of a patient's session time.

The project uses cutting edge web technology based on the ZEND framework. Sensitive, patient submitted data is encrypted with powerful asymmetric encryption technology and destroyed once consumed by the primary IAPTus system, followed by NHS N3 servers.

A key part of the technical brief required our web application to be extendable. We accomplished this by making use of high security server-side PHP development principles and software encryption techniques to provide a hardened and robust REST API.
