BBC Learning Zone Clips, also known as BBC Learning Zone Broadband Clips, is a massive resources of video clips designed to be used in a learning environment. Simply visit the site, type in your search terms, and the site will return a selection of clips to match your criteria. The clips can then be viewed or inserted into your own resources and packaged with learning packs for your students. Another great learning resource from the BBC – and of course, being the BBC, it’s completely free!
We were approached to finalise the design of the Learning Zone Clips site, and to develop the site to a state of completion and interaction. To this end, we worked within the BBC internal systems to query the databases and return the right results. We also developed the search results in ways that allowed the user to decide how they would like the results paginated, displayed and ordered. In addition, we developed many extra process and actions to improve the user experience throughout the site.
