We have been working closely with the CBeebies team for many years, helping deliver multiple versions of this much loved and heavily relied upon BBC Flagship with a no tears approach (the BBC have previously been inundated with complaints from the parents of upset children when their beloved site has changed or suffered from development issues) CBeebies is a project where accessibility and user experience go hand in hand. The latest iteration involves a complete re-build of the design, user experience, game screens and presentation - bringing it bang up to date with the BBC Global Experience Language, creating a more unified user experience for adults and children alike.

We rebuilt the site into BBC standard GEL guidelines, updated the javascript used on the site, improved and streamlined the markup and deployed a refined content management system(using iSite) to allow the editors to work with the updated site features. There are some really interesting features including the ability of the site editors to take over part or all of the homepage with flash interactive animations, immersive branded index pages and time and seasonal themed headers and page elements.

This has been a fantastic project to work on, we are sure that the updates and improvements to the site will be well received by the users of all ages.
