BBC Food is one of BBC's most important websites, providing a database of recipes and chef's, used the world over. The Food recipe database contains over 10,000 recipes for a massive range of culinary tastes and abilities.

We were approached by the BBC lifestyles team to help in the redevelopment of the BBC Food brand, in particular the recipes sub brand. This involved large amounts of XSLT work, CSS and javascript. The project encompasses many areas of food such as the weights and measures converter, the recipe binder, the actual database itself and many of the smaller subsidiary services offered by this wonderful site.

The project involved updating the content and framework for increased user experience, web design sensation and search engine optimisation. So far, the results have been fantastic and the user experiences from BBC Food have been highly impressive and a marked improvement.
