The Apprentice is naturally one of the most commonly known brands from the BBC. The Apprentice follows a group of talented money makers as they bid to be the next apprentice of money mogul, Sir Alan Sugar. The show has enjoyed immense popularity on BBC and has gone from strength to strength each year.
The Apprentice's website was our first foray into working in partnership with the indie department at BBC. We were pleased to collobaratively produce an XML based CMS (content management system) that allows show information and updates to be handled quickly, and easily. This system, it is hoped, will help to streamline external content management for many future projects of the BBC. We also worked on a variety of web development areas on the project, including htaccess rewriting, form handling, javascript coding and templated content outputting.
