And the BAFTA goes to . . . .
Aerian Studios were approached by BAFTA to search engine optimise their new website and make it an SEO show stopper.
BAFTA's headquarters and member's club at 195 Picadilly offers resplendant rooms for hire, suitable for corporate events, private dining, wedding receptions and private screenings. All extremely competetive markets - especially in London's West end.
Aerian Studios' initial brief was to analyse the web site and make recommendations to get the site ready for it's red carpet debut in January 2012. We were able to draw insights from analytics, keyword density and semantic markup. We spent time researching the competition so that we could give sound advice about the best keywords to focus our efforts upon.
After reporting back with suggestions for improvements to page layout, source code, user journey and metadata, BAFTA asked us to provide new metadata and to rewrite the copy and image descriptions from the main areas of the site. We had to retain the style appropriate to such a grand historic venue yet optimise it for the search engine spiders.
Early indications are that the changes we made have got the new site off to the best possible start. We'll be working closely with the team at BAFTA 195 moving forward to make sure that their site continues to stay in the spot light.
